Our ambitions

We aim to be a driving force for the development of smarter cities and communities, and to become the leading player in the Nordic region by 2021.

Nordic Edge is the official Norwegian Innovation Cluster on Smarter Cities and Communities. The not-for-profit organisation works as a catalyst bringing the different players in the field together to find answers to the current and future challenges of different-sized communities.

In addition to the Cluster, Nordic Edge has two more branches:

Nordic Edge Expo is the largest Smart City conference and exhibition in the Nordics. The next Nordic Edge Expo takes place September 24th – 26th 2019 in Stavanger, Norway. The event brings together a global audience of more than 4500 suppliers, buyers, decision-makers, and thought-provoking experts. The expo displays the very best of the Nordics take on forward-thinking, practical solutions, and innovative expertise in tackling Smart City challenges.

Nordic Edge International host Smart City conferences world-wide. In April 2019 Nordic Edge will host its first event in Beijing, China. This joint China-Nordics event will provide attendees with valuable insights into Smart City initiatives, best practices and experiences learnt from both the Nordic region and from China.

Over the last few years, the Stavanger region has built a position as Norway's cluster on Smart City. The Smart City drive and ambitions in the region are striking. Nordic Edge will continue to be a key player in developing the region, the Nordics and beyond in the years to come.
