Hack the Crisis Norway - the winners!

Hack the Crisis Norway, a demonstration of people's will to contribute to the COVID-19 crisis. The 48-hour intens hackathon resulted in three category winners with solutions to assist the ongoing crisis.

What Happened:

In just one week the start-up community, public sector, private companies and organisation mobilised to organise Hack the Crisis Norway. The aim was to find solutions to the challenges our society is facing as a result of the coronavirus.

The hackathon had three categories:

  • Saving Lives
  • Saving Communities
  • Saving Businesses

How did it go:

A totalt of 336 teams with 700 participants from across the country joined. Over the weekend of 27-29 March the teams worked on 219 different solutions. The teams were assisted by 129 mentors and 105 experts.

The winner in each category received a prize of 100.000 NOK to help their initiative become reality. Runners-up in each category received 50.000 NOK. The jury evaluated the projects based on three criteria:

  • Originality
  • Feasibility
  • Impact
